Door chime wont stop???

have a 93 astro van and other day battery was dead...anyway what i found out after re-charging it, is that the chime that sounds when door is open and key in ignition keeps going, even when key is not in ignition and doors are all closed...thus it is draining my battery. any ideas how to disengage this chime so it stops working and drawing on my battery or how to fix the problem? thanks

check the door switch, its amazing how many times ive encountered a dual problem, where 2 things just happen to fail at the same time or near enough that it seems like one has caused the other.
