If you have the ability to get out of it and find one with V-TEC, then go ahead and do it. If not, start with the usual intake/headers/exhaust and then come back once you're done there. You have a good size engine and can get a lot of power from it. BTW, I hope it's stick!:D

well... www.hondaprelude.com just did a 3 gen build up...
nice stuff... w/ hp numbers...
eibach springs are nice, w/ tokico blues...
i built my own intake and have a cusco strut bar....
i also have a bigger cat and 2.25in exh, with the arospeed bomb muff... other than that it is stock and runs low 16s. respectable for having 135 hp and tq...
how many hondas have equal hp and tq #s neways?
only real prob is a less than ideal bore x stroke ratio... which means it kills rings quicker than most...
check out www.turbolude.com or www.ludespeed.com
they both cater to the 3gen...
any questions, gimme a shout, [email protected]

Erm, no you didn't really!
Starting point should always be the 4th Gen, wins because it looks gorgeous! ...and has VTEC!
5th Gen looks up to date, and has VTEC!
NO VTEC? Whoops!:(
I had a NON VTEC 5th Gen, kept it for about a month!

remember,
any vtec motor swap will fit in that car, and it weighs less than the 4 and 5gens... so you still got options... or a vtec head swap...
there is one in the new superstreet on a b20b which is the crv motor, so you would have to do the same w/ a b16a motor, and that is pretty sick... lotsa options, and you can use the b16 or civic type r pistons too... hmmm....
and it handles fuggin sweet w/ eibach-tokico setup w/cusco strut bar...
