i have a 1996 Grand Am that hesitates when you hit the gas. it is real bad in the morning and seems to be ok or not as bad in the afternoon or once it is running at normal temp. i have replaced the following: fuel fliter, coil tower, plug boots(all), plugs(all), map sensor, tps sensor, air intake temp sensor, and a fuel pressure reagulator. i have completly run out of ideas and need help. if anyone can help please let me know thank you!

what size engine is it? And if you feel like something is chocking the engine for a second when you press the gas pedall, it could be that your MAF sensor is disconnected, dirty or not working at all. Give more details.

it is a 2.4 dohc 4 cly. and yes it feels like it is starving for something, but i am not sure what. everyone that i have talked to including the dealership has said that my car does not have a MAF on it. there is a sensor in the air tube but they call that the air intake temp sensor and i replaced that too. i hit the cat and there is nothing rattleing around in there either. could this be a computer or injector problem? (thank you for replying, noone replied to my last post a month ago)

pretty sure theres some type of MAF.. and it could be dirty, eletronics cleaner from like autozone will clean it up with the air intake hose taken off..

could also be, a clogged cat. or possibly your trans slipping?

really hard to diagnose via web lol
