headlights flicker

i have a 1996 s10 4x4 the daytime running lights work fine but when i turn the headlights on after a few mins they start flickering between daytime running lights and headlights and sometimes the lights go completely out then when they come back on they start flickering again

check for corroded connectors at lamps//very common...
on these older lamps the connectors should be cleaned with a small wire brush and then sprayed with WD-40...every 6 mo. in damp weather regions..
