2009 Camry SE 4door....
So I just got into an accident today.... A lady hit my passenger side back door and tire area.
The rear door is smashed, the back fender is dented really good & my wheel/tire was shredded. Looking at it from behind my wheel is bent in and not completely straight.
When I open the back door, the frame is pinched and dented in pretty darn good!
What do ya all think? Totaled or fixable?

I just looked at the pictures. The door can be fixed but as far as the wheel leaning in, get it checked at a body shop.

I agree with Mark. I believe that it is repairable. It would take a lot more than that to total a 09 Camry. Like Mark said, a bodyshop can help you determine if there is any unibody or suspension damage. Most shops offer free estimates.

Thank you!
I went in yesterday ans got an estimate from body shop....
So far its $8700... but the wheel is damaged, which cannot be reorder s they dont make it anymore. Hoping that the insurance company will pay for new set?? I dunno....
Apparently my suspension is damaged as well...

That is more than I thought from the photos. I know Toyota parts are expensive. What is the value of the car, 20k+? They should be able to repair it. Let us know how it turns out.

Well the car is sitting at the shop and wont be started on until last next week. So until he gets in there and gets it on the measurement machine, then I wont know much.
Yeah...its valued at 20k. So I doubt now it will be totaled out. I just dont want to have to eat the bad equity now because of the damage!
Thank you for your thoughts!!!!! :)

compared to what I have seen it isn't bad, BUT there is always hidden damage like how far in to the susp did the damage go, just always watch your tire wear, and bearings, just stuff like that. We had a nasty dodge ram that the insurance guy looked at and didn't even waste his time figuring out. He just said junk it. but we fixed it, the right guys/shops can do some awesome stuff. Hope it turns out well for ya, ours drives like new after all the work.

As far as I know the insurance company will only return the car to stock condition. That means they probably wont replace custom wheels, so be prepared for the bad news. If it were me and I still had 4-5 more years of payments I'd trade in the car. Use the money you get from the depreciation of the cars value for a down payment. You may need to make them pay for the depreciation as they'll get it from the other insurance company and try keep it if they can.

You should be able to find a wheel like that on Ebay. There also is a place on the web that sells aftermarkets that might have 1 wheel. I am amazed that the repair would cost that much.
