How a delivery of models can bring a mixture of emotions...

Picture this; You're eating your breakfast when there's is a knock at the door, a quick peek out the window and a glimpse of a bright red van tells you its the post man - yippee! You open the door and greet him with a big smile only to have it promptly wiped off your face when he tells you that you have a whopping £49 customs charge for two parcels  . You quickly forget about the cheque you just begrudgingly handed over as you tear open the parcels. The excitement dies a little when you realise the two Cusco Silvia's you ordered are not included and confusion sets in when you wonder why the fuck they have added 3 military kits in their place:confused:
I am of course ranting on about my long overdue HS order...

This is what i got with the $100 prize from Best1. A RX-7 is still on the way though.

Where did you get the stuff in the first picture from? I'd be quite pissed and they'd be the first to find out about my feelings ;)
Edit: HS. Do they already have an email from you in their mailbox? :D

And there is some guy sitting at home right now, who ordered 3 military kits, and instead has 2 models of the Cusco Silvia, thinking "WTF??" as he heads to the PC to post on the military forum he is a member of about it......
Maybe HS want to see what kind of body kits you can produce to suit armour?
At least you got the most part of your order Chris :) A bitch about the customs fees though!

Ah, i missed a very important point which makes what i said a little misleading. The Cusco Silvia's are not included coz they were not in stock, I had suspicions of this coz the order status page had the incorrect total sum. I thought maybe they have undercharged me, but soon worked out that the difference was the same a the 2 Silvia's. I wondered why they didn't inform me of this coz they had done on a previous occasion, it would appear i neglected to tick the appropriate box on the order form that would prompt someone to tell me:rolleyes:
So you see, HS have sent everything else i requested, the military kits are just extras that found their way in my parcel. I think they will be soon finding their way onto ebay to help me recoup some of the custom charges, afterall mistakes cannot be rectified!!!

Too bad for the military kits (allthough I did them for the past 7 years and they're quite challenging too) but you got some nice stuff in there. I see you mask A LOT :D
I love those kind of unprocessed stuff pics ;)

Can never have too much i think! Besides, I stock up on the Tamiya stuff coz the prices for their tape hear are extortionate. I discovered the other brands recently which are Modelers and Aizu and come in very thin and useful widths, the smallest is 0.4mm:eek: I prefer to airbrush parts so masking is very necessary and means i get through it quickly, it has other uses of course when hold things together as the dry, test fitting and even have a use when making bodykits.

It looks like it doesn't it? One of these was purchased with Bday money, the other was won thru Best1.

the best is ask HS about it what WTF is the military in your order, ask them a explaination on that. Greddy9 better put in on Tamiya kit because the body don't really fit very well, the rims...damn small. But afterall...to you, that's no a problem. (IMO, do a Greddy 9 with Camo colors and change the rim into NT03):lol2:

What do you have planned for the 350Z? A new body kit? I have my 350Z kit sitting at home and was going to order your body kit but if there is a new one in the future I may wait.

He already did a C-West 350Z kit, only it was based on preproduction designs...as we can all see the final product was a lot different! :o

I know. but there was a new C-West 350Z, I think is a ver2 or something. Nismo 350Z look very normal, and almost the same as the original, IMO. If Fly could do something more different from the 1st ver of SAS 350Z, that will be good, IMO:rolleyes: :D

I think that design is still to come, the kit available at the moment is far too different for it to be born from that preproduction design i thought. Besides, its also under the Zerosun brand so maybe completely differant??????
Anyway, i thought the Nismo version would be worthwhile coz its simple, can be produced quite quickly and the coz i want to do the decals for the skyline, i can include the ones for this in the design too. More cost effective you see!;)

Isnt it strange how these threads can sometimes go off at a tangent, anyone who came in now would wonder what you were talking about. Anyway nice selection of kits, shame about the taxes though, takes the shine off a good day dont it. Take the tank kits to the next show you go to Chris, you will sell them no problem, 2nd hand armour usually flies out the door :)

Hahaha! That sucks! You better send that stuff back quick. As for your HS order, mine took 3 months (no exaggeration [sp] there) to arrive.

Can't comment on how they would fair in the battle field, or did do as the case maybe. But they are excellent quality kits, why not try some armour modeling Jay?;)
