Shift interlock solenoid problems

Sometimes when I turn my truck off, I cannot turn the key all the way to off. I believe these trucks have a solenoid in the column for this. Now if I leave the key alone anywhere from 30 seconds to infinity you can eventually turn the key all the way back. Any suggestions as to where I should start testing? I no longer have access to All-Data since I have changed jobs. Thanks!

If you have a floor shifter, it could be one of two soloenoids acting up. There's one at the base of the shifter. But the most obvious one is the solenoid on the key tumbler assembly.
