Selling online

I've been trying to sell my remote control cars (12 total) online for the past few months. I loved them as a kid, but don't have time for them now, and don't have children who would want them, and unfortunately I have been laid off and could use the money from all my old crap. It sucks to have to sell part of my childhood to make ends meet, but it's a necessary evil. Anyway, I've tried craigslist and backpage.com and have haven't had much luck yet. Is there a better way to advertise stuff online that isn't really mainstream items? Ads in the paper cost too much money. Any help would be... uh, helpful.

Go for Ebay. I just searched for 'Tamiya' and came up with 11,803 results... so it seems to be successful for sellers.
Frankly, if I was a buyer faced with that large a choice, I wouldn't even consider Craigslist.
