97 camaro security light

hey guys just bought a 97 v6 camaro about a month ago and i just love it,there is one thing that concerns me though yesterday my security light on my dash came on and im not sure what to do,its not causing any problems like not starting or anything it still runs great,i tried using a differnt key but that didnt work either......so my question is should i be expecting a problem....and is there a way to turn that light off....thanks guys

I would bypass the VATS system before it leaves you stranded somewhere.

thanks poormiilionare2 that was a option that i was looking at,but my light dosent blink it just stays on and dosent cause any problems,this light came on after my regular car alarm came on the other night,i've noticed from reading all the other threads that the people who have had problems starting there cars that there light was blinking first,i guess what im trying to find out is has anyone had a problem with there vats before when the security light was just on and not blinking,im hoping its just a glitch and i can clear the code on it and shut the light off with no future problems
