problem driving van

I have a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE. I can start the van, release emergency brake, and when I put it in reverse or drive and try to accelerate, the van only lunges a little. Tried to move in driveway, the right rear tire left skid marks but didn't go more than a few feet. It seemed as if the tires weren't moving. If anyone has any suggestions , it would be greatly appreciated.

If its an automatic check transmission fluid first.

Sounds like possibly the rear brakes were wet when you parked it. Linings can rust to the drum.

Sounds like the rear breaks are locked up. could be a sticking emergency brake cable or the shoes stuck to the drum. To break it loose your probably going to have to jack it up and take the rear wheel off and hit the drum with a rubber hammer until it's loose or remove the drum to inspect it to see what's wrong with it. Also check your transmision fluid level.
