wheel rubs a arm

I'm doing a front brake job on my 1998 S-10 and I noticed the inside of the tire has been rubbing on the top of the A arm. It doesn't seem to be a safe condition and I'm wondering what I should do. I hate to use spacers on a truck but may have to. The front end is completely stock as far as I know. Guess I could go to narrower tires. Any input would be appreciated.

Check for worn front end parts.
Does it rub all time or just on a sharp turn.

Is the tires and wheels stock/OEM sise?

Truck has factory mag wheels. Tires are 215/75/15 which look a little big but don't hang over the wheels very far. I don't think it's hitting when turning a corner; I think it's hitting when I hit a bump and the truck's going up and down. I might look at the upper ball joint..should have checked it out when I had the wheel off. Funny, the other side has the same size tire and wheel and isn't rubbing. You hardly ever hear of an upper ball joint going bad, but may be the case. Truck seems to handle good, though.

Are you the original Owner? maybe previous owner had aftermarket wheels and tires and put the original ones back on before they sold it. That tire size sounds fine.

Do you see any corresponding rubbing on the wheel or tire?

Yes, there is a ring on the inside of the tire where it has rubbed. Just on the driver's side though. I pulled on the top of the tire outward and it doesn't appear that the upper ball joint is loose. I may have to take back the statement that it isn't rubbing while turning sharply. I put my hand in between the upper ball joint and tire and there appears to be enough room, so I think that when I turn a sharp corner it may be rubbing.
I am not the original owner...I have had the truck for about 4 years. The original owner didn't seem to be the kind that would modify it. He was an older person that kept it in very clean condition.

Look real close on a sharp turn.

Some front ends have a stop on the sharp turn bolt that may be gone or needs adjusted.

I would think that you have something in the front that is bent

I don't know...the truck runs straight, doesn't pull to either side, wears the tires out evenly. I'm going to look for that sharp turn stop, if it has one. I don't believe the truck has ever been wrecked. The paint seems to be original. 81k miles.
