97 5.0 explorer intake elbow

I am installing the intake elbow and dont have a gasket. will rtv work for the upper intake to elbow side of the elbow??

The gaskets are cheap but you can use rtv just be sure both surfaces are clean.Just athin bead of sealant is enough.
