Hi all, can anyone help me with error codes for a 4ze1 Rodeo?
2 codes, first one is 2 flashes and the other is 6 flashes.

You need a scan tool to read codes on a '97. Not sure what these flashes are that you are counting. Is this the check engine light or some other light?

Yes the "engine check" light. I disconected the earth on the battery and it reset the codes.... now my main problem is I got spark/fuel/compression, it's EFI so why doesn't it want to start? It runs fine on Gas but when I flick the switch to petrol it dies.. Had the Rodeo for 8 years and never missed a beat till now, what am I doing wrong or what I'm I missed looking at? thanx.

What are you talking about? Flick the switch to petrol? Either you're messing with me or there is a lot more information that you assume I know. It kind of sounds like your truck has some kind of dual fuel set-up? If your Rodeo was not built for the US market, you might need to seek more local assistance.

Well guess what? your right I was assuming to much............ Let me start again.....I'm from Australia, and my UTE {as we call it} TRUCK {as you call it} runs on LPG fuel as well as "GASOLINE" {as you all call it} PETROL {as we in Australia call it} Now that that's out of the way. "My truck runs fine on LPG but will not run on GAS, so it must have something to do with the ECM or what? That's all I'm asking thank you.

Crazyman, the Australian 'Rodeo' was sold in the US as an Isuzu Pickup or TF I think. You might be confusing our American friends because their 'Rodeo' is our 'Frontera'.

Our Rodeo's came from Japan and are probably different from the US built Isuzu TF. Also I don't think dual fuel is very popular in the US.

You might have more luck posting on Australia4WD forum.

Ok, I see now. 99Fronty is right. We don't do dual fuel here except on forklifts and maybe some other industrial equipment. Even on forklifts it's kind of uncommon. And, an Australian site would probably be better for you since we have no clue what is different on your truck. Sounds like you don't have OBDII, either. All cars and trucks in the US 96 and newer are all OBDII.
