does anyone know how to get the piston back into the caliper when i am replacing the rear disc brakes on a 2006 montana sv6. i tried to push it back in with a brake pad and a large c-clamp but it does not budge. I heard that you have to turn it back in. does anyone know

thanks

If you look at the piston and if it had to notches, probably v shape, then you need to turn them back in. You can use a large needle nose pliers and a crescent wrench, on the pliers, to turn them in. I turn them all the way in. Make sure you wear leather gloves. it is easier to do if you open the breather valve, but then you probably have to bleed the brakes.

the pistons turn out for the parking brake is properly set and the brake pads wear out.
