Tamiya Lotus 25

After a few struggles, it's done. I swapped in the mirrors and intake/exhaust trumpets from the Thunder Valley upgrade, plus the valve stems. I couldn't bear to hide those nice polished velocity stacks, so I omitted the cover. Otherwise, it's OOB.
The paint is Tamiya TS-9. I used no clear and did not sand the final coat; Tamiya Fine and Finish were sufficient; in fact, maybe it's too glossy. The interior is Polly Scale Special Red Oxide.
Thanks for the good advice to Klutz and others.

I come back from vacation and what do I find...? :)
It came out beautifully and you sure beat those decals in the end!
The washing and shading on the engine look first-class - as does the rest. Congratulations.
(now I really should try and finish mine at last )

I'd say that turned out beautifully. The lug nuts and valve stems are minor details that add immeasurably to the overall realism. Great job. And the very delicate (and very exposed) suspension parts look fantastic with the Alclad.
Now let's see those other projects you've been working on!

Fantastic job. Your detailing is top notch making it look like it just rolled out of a museum.

Beautiful indeed! Congratulations on a job well done.
Is the white dot on the tire a marking for that period of F1 cars or specific to Lotus 25?

Thanks!

I believe it was the designation used by Dunlop Racing for their dry-weather tires.
