I do not have an obd scanner tool. Several months ago the speedometer stopped working, after some online research I replaced the faulty vehicle speed sensor which fixed the problem. I need a way to reset the engine check light. Is there a procedure that does not require the obd tool? Thank you.

You can try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes. It's been so long since I've been without a scanner I don't know which cars reset by disconnecting the battery any more.

Hey Bullshifter:
I thought about disconnecting the battery cable but didn't want to have to deal with re-entering the code for the stereo head unit. I eventually got an obd scanner and got rid of the light. Thank you.
