My friend has a 95 Golf with bad radiator. Just wanted to get some pointers on how NOT to mess up. There is all bunch of wiring on top of the radiator mount and I assume A/C manifold has be moved before getting into it.
Thanks!

you need to remove the front bumper, core support top bar, and center support with hood latch that goes down to the bottom support. then remove the fans and unbolt the condenser fromthe radiator and removethe radiator hoses then the radiator. Pretty straightfoward just time consuming, should take prob 2-3hrs in a garage if no rusty bolts break:biggrin:

i've taken the bumper cover off (took longer then it should, cause 1st time) I assume you are talking about removing radiator upward? I can not see how I could do that, the A/c hose/manifold is blocking the radiator from coming up. The only way I see it going out is down with removal of the engine supporting cross member. Pretty ingenious design if you ask me. I mean ingenious as far as job security goes. :lol2:
