Idler arm

I have a 95 CV with 107,000 miles on it and I am going to replace the idler arm. When I do the idler arm, do I also have to replace the pitman arm on the other side? The idler arm side has a lot of play, but not the pitman. Should they both be done at the same time? I value your opinions, especially yours way2old, you're cool.

If the pitman arm has no play, we usually do not replace it. Unless you just want to do it while you are working on the steering anyway. We usually inspect all steering parts each time and replace what is bad. If there is 3 or more parts bad, we usually replace all steering linkages. Good luck.

at that mileage you should check for play in the inner and outer ball joints and upper and lower control arms.
