well, as you guys know, i am ready for my clutch job. just need tranny fluid. my guy says he can get OEM fluid for $11/qt or would it be more beneficial for me to spring for the redline MT-90/MTL mix or should i go a different route? i havent put alot of thought into the fluid part, and dont really have the time to research... so, im asking for your guys opinions. StevieK, Silvr, Bryan, Kevin, DavidB more specifically you guys because i know you have first hand experience with a lot of different setups. but anyone else is also welcome. i got 2 days to come up with a decision, car needs to be on jack stands by thursday this week. thanks!

The only lube I have ever used is regular old gear oil and it sucks balls. I will be trying penzoil synchromesh because we just started stocking it at my store, so its easily attainable for me and relatively cheap. Im not sure what to suggest to you since I dont have much experience with different types of gear oils in DSM trannys. I really just wanted to ask you what clutch you decided to go with, but I didnt want to leave your original question comepletely unanswered. So which clutch are you using? Flywheel? Stock line?

On my old tranny I had a leak and would just use regular lube from the auto parts store. I don't even remember what it was. Since I got the new trans, I've yet to fill it. I've wanted to try the better grade fluids but never really got around to it though.

Did somebody say lube? :naughty: :evillol:
Syncromesh and the Shockproof can be mixed for a pretty nice fluid but I forget the ratios to mix it...

i got the Fidanza 4.3 clutch, fidanza aluminum flywheel, BFgoodridge clutch line, OEM slave cylinder (master cylinder is only about 1.5 years old), OEM flywheel bolts, 2 quarts of redline MT-90, and 1 quart of redline MTL. ill post pictures of it all once it all arrives, and im sure i'll have tons of pictures and comments during the install... so keep your eyes out for a fidanza clutch+flywheel install thread in the next few days or so. :smokin:
