Is there something that can cause the TPS to keep malfunctioning? I have replaced mine twiced in two months and i am starting to have "high idle" issues again. No SES light yet.. I have a 4.6 liter v8, have changed the MAS. Am i doing something wrong or missing something when i replace it? It's a simple part to replace, unscrew two screws and vac hose...replace it. Was just wondering if something else could be causing the TPS to go bad or misread. Thanks in advance

Are you using a cheap aftermarket part? If so try using an OEM part. Bob Utter Ford has low prices as do other dealers on the web.

Hey 97bird....I am using OEM parts. I think I found my problem, seems the vac hose coming off the IAC was loose, I snugged it and any other hose I seen that might be loose. So far, the car is running fine, no high idling. It's been two days now...I'll have to wait and see if it starts doing it again. Thanks

You might want to check all of the hoses to see if they are getting hard and brittle. Replacing them now will prevent problems later! Good to know you found the problem.

X2! After seeing what all my vac lines looked like I'm suprised my car ran at all before I replaced them, everything was cracked and nasty
