Hy friends!
I m an engg. Student. Can anyone please explain me that how do i calculate the amount of torque required at steering wheel to steer a car? Also tell me what all data(track width, wheelbase steering gear ratio etc.) is required for the same! I m supposed to calculate this for a manual rack and pinion steering?

This is pretty complicated and even though I'm studying it right now, I don't quite grasp it yet. I suggest you get Race Car Vehicle Dynamics and read that thoroughly. Also, identify what conditions for which you want to do this calculations. It's very dependent on how close the tires are to their limit.
