Hello Guys! How hard is it to Swap the 3100 Series Motor out of our 1999 Chevrolet Lumina for a 3800 Series Motor?

Subframe, computer and harnesses, trans and axles, exhaust and lots of other " stuff" better off looking for a 99 LTZ.

how much bigger in size is the 3.8 compared to the 3.1? is it worth doin the swap or not?

.7 liters, no? About 42 cubes , 40 hp, and lots more torque, not worth the work, another car is much more advisable.

Can you explain the work that is needed? I found a Lumina with one, but not sure what body and frame is like. Can i take the whole front end and put it on ours?

So its not really worth it? how much money you think it would take to make a stock 3.8 a suerpcharged 3.8 as wel as a cam switch and all that litle stuff

The blown 3800 is a different short block, you cannot do this with the std K engine.

Ok, first off you will need to do a 3800 Series 2 3.8 normally aspirated swap and then you can use this http://www.milzymotorsports.com/ search for the top swap l36 to l67. Its about 1350. Hope this helps. Unless you can find a Supercharged 3.8 then you're good.
