Hi the front assembly uni in my beetle is complety worn through with rust
can anyone tell me if what is left will be bolted to the car or will it be welded?
Also in terms of cost would it be wise to buy a new unit and give it to a professional to attach as opposed to either risking doing it myself or asking someone to do the job for me aswell as supply the part.(the part currently costs £96.00 from GSF Car Parts)
thanks
Adam

From "front assembly", I take it you mean the front suspension beam?
They bolt on and are fairly easy to replace your self if you have basic mechanical skills. You will need to get the front end aligned after installation, though.
Again, please let us know the year and model of the car.
I am a little confused? Your profile says you're in Alabama, but you used a British "pound" sign, rather than a dollar sign? Where you live makes a big difference in the ready availability of parts.
