1996 Suburban air bag system ground

I just replaced the engine in my '96 Suburban. Got everything together and haven't had any problems. Today I noticed the Air Bag light is acting funny. It will blink six times after starting the vehicle, and then go away. After driving for a few minutes it will come back on and blink, or stay on, or sporatically blink like there is a bad connection or ground. I have re-tightened all the grounds and they seemed to be fine. I noticed two grounds on the back of the block, and two on the front. Does anyone know if there is a ground specifically for the Air Bag system? Is this thing going to blow up in my face or what? I didn't mess with any of the wires under the dash when making the engine swap, only under the hood. I also checked the computer for codes with an OBDII reader and found nothing. Any ideas?

Needs checked for codes with a SIR/air bag capable scanner.
Post back SIR codes.
