Hello there,
I have to replace the left front window regulator on my Sunfire. I have bought one at the local scrap yard. Anything I should know before I start the job. I remember having pulled out the inside panel to inspect what was going on that there does not seem to be a lot of working room. What is the best way to pull it out of the door? I am aware of the rivets and am ready for those.
Any info will be apprectiated.
Thanks in advance.

It's a pretty easy job on every car I've ever done one on. Sometimes it's like one of those puzzle games where you have to twist it just right, but rarely difficult to figure out. I've never done one on a Cavalier, but a member here said that they took it to a shop because they had to remove the door because there was no way to remove it otherwise. Sounded like BS to me, so I didn't argue, just thought I'd pass that "info" on in case it was true, but I really don't think it is.

Thanks for the info, I know that you do not have to take the door off, that would be a bit extreme. I am awaiting sunny weather to do this since I don't have a garage, and don't want to chance it in the rain.

I did the driver side regulator on mt cavalier.
The only hard part was finding one for a convertible
I did not have to take off the door
