Help I have looked HIGH and low on the location of the Cam position sensor on a 3.4 liter Pontiac. I have found numerous pictures on the crank position sensor and went so far as to remove right front tire and the inner fender well and was about to remove the harmonic balancer. Thinking this is the place to be... But i stopped and hope some one can help me decipher this. Other websites say this is and easy task but the finding issue seems to be the problem.
So if someone could point me in the right area... or even someone that might have a pic or diagram handy would be a life saver...
Car is in the air Thx

Thx guys. I accomplished this task over the holiday along with a front brake job.
For future reference if anyone ever need a pic here are a couple if they come through.
PS. I did have to drill into the sensor and use the screw and dent puller to get this removed

Yes she is running like a top for that year model car and the check engine light is out. This is my daughter's car that she drives for now, so she appreciates what Dad can give to keep her on the road. I did have to explain to her the trouble she caused by driving longer than needed with worn brake pads, and having to replace a rotor out of her pocket. Oh well we all learn the hard way sometimes...
Off topic:
I was wondering how does one go about having a pic show up. When one types in lets say Cam Position sensor for a particular car. I typed all this in and never got to your pics or any that were worth while. I came closer to a sensor for a BMW than a Pontiac. Maybe my boolean isn't what it use to be.

Yeah hard to beleive my car ran with those wires all frayed, didnt even get a trouble code, just ran poorly. Previous ower used silicone to keep them from shorting I guess.
If youre talking about the search features, it doesnt always work as one would think. Searching for something in that particular section is best, and as few of words as possible seems to work better.
I have pics for about every single part for the 99+ grand ams, and several other models of automobiles, over 1000 @ photobucket. And searching those is a real PITA ! lol
