help please stuck and i dont know where to go!!

ok heres my situation i know it sounds kinda dumb at first but bare with me. Me and my buddy have been competeing for awhile. Well he owns a 3rd generation eclipse with a 2.4l 4cyc now he is supposedly boosting it with a t3/t4 hybrid turbo kit and rebuilt his tranny for lsd. He is look to push 300 with just head work isnt there a risk of a blown motor? But thats besides the point ive always been the dude stuck behind looking at all these guys in these faster cars and im stuck 6 cars behind on a good day. Now im saving up money because i want to buy a good platform car for a reasonable price that will show this eclipse up after modding and what not. Really need help please help!! :frown:

Laugh at him and tell him FWD is for mini-vans and gas mileage.
Everything I bolded is a joke, granted there are fast eclipses and I truely only have respect for the GSX. But I think that your friend may be seriously misinformed about the capabilities of his engine and DSM qualitly.
