I have a 2003 Toyota Matrix, after getting out of work I started my car and all 4 cluster lights are out, The Fuel, RPM, Speedometer, and Temp. The seat belt sign works, door open sign works, all the notice lights work but none of the gauges. Before I go to the junk yard or dealer and go buy a new cluster, any advise would be great. Also how do i take the cluster out, when i take the cover off all I see is one screw on top of the gauges, i know there has to be more just hoping i dont have to take off the dash..

Before buying anything, check out the fuses. Under the drivers side dash and underhood drivers side).

Yea i checked checked that out, the fuse looked good but to be safe i replaced it just incase and still nothing. Should have mentioned that. Even took my test light out to make sure but fuse is all good.

Hmmmm, is the interior courtesy light dimmer switch turned right down? Sounds silly, but sillier things have happened.
Looking at my Haynes repair manual for my '04 XR, it describes how to remove the cluster and module but it's too much to type here.
If you decide to do your own repairs it'll be worth your $20 to buy it. Haynes manual number 92037.

Sorry, don't know about programming a cluster.
Because of that, I'm not sure if getting a 'new' used one from a wrecker is wise. There will be a difference in the odometer reading for one thing, although I know these can be jacked with too.

I have no idea about your particular cluster, but you may be able to have it repaired. There are sellers on eBay that specialize in gauge cluster repair...bulb check, gauge needle servo replacement, LCD check/replace, etc. You keep the original cluster so no odo reprogramming is needed. I've had the service performed on my Envoy's cluster and from the gripings of the wife it sounds like the same may be happening to the Vibe now...funny, she was driving the Envoy before too, hmmmm.... I just got it back in the mail so can't report on success but you may look into it as an option if you can spare you car being down for a week. Good luck!
