Anyone know the signs of a fading ICM? Did you get codes? Was this a dramatic chaotic event or did it happen slowly over time?

ICM, Ignition Control Module is a part of the PCM, Powertrain Control Module.
In other words....the computer and the device that drives the drive parts (like the fuel injectors and ignition coil) are all in 1 box.

It it is different for the 95, cause the cd-rom manual definitely lists a separate ICM from the PCM and I can put my hand on it in the engine bay. Its on the passenger front fender wall across from the a/c accumulator. RockAuto and others also list it as a separate part.... at least for the 95 3.8L. I looked at 96 by chance and only 1 ICM was listed for it, but I think its an error due to what you said.

So I guess I'm asking the 95 crowd only.... or the 3.0L crowd up to 1997.
