Starts kinda weak

Question. 1999 Olds Eighty Eight LS.
The car starts kinda weak. I have a new battery in it (Interstate), new plugs (NGK), new wires (Denso). Car has no problems with driving or anything like that. Sorta sounds like it skips a bit, have to keep the ignition at "start" for about 3 seconds, then it starts up. On my 1995 Olds Eighty Eight, it catches within a second, and starts real strong.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Not clear what "starts weak" means, cranks but doesn't catch, cranks slowly?

Yes, it cranks slowly, and then "catches", but catches slowly, too.
After the car has been started up, and then I shut it off and try it again, it cranks/catches perfectly fine.
