Hi all,
I have a 1998 Buick LeSabre with 3800 Series II engine. The engine is on an engine stand. I have removed the crankshaft hub bolt and the book says that the hub should pull out with only using your hands, (yah right). Does anyone know how I can remove it from the crankshaft? Does it use a special puller? Any tips appreciated

The balancer is pressed on & requires a puller like the one shown below. Be sure to use three 6 mm X 1.0 X 80 mm; or 1/4-28 X 3 1/4 in bolts with hardened washers to screw into the balancer. Rental tools may not have the correct bolts; if not, check your local hardware.

Thanks,
I rented one from AutoZone and then bought the right size bolts and it worked perfectly. Appreciate your help tremendously.
