i thought you could do this to all first gens, but the 3si method didnt work when i tried it, and glenn's way says it wont turn on the fogs in a 91. i want snake eyes dam it.

Also, would it negatively affect anything if i were to remove the little teardrop shaped things below the headlights? it seems like it would increase drag just a little, but i think it looks better.

what are the teardrop things you speak of, the clear lens that's used for snake eyes?

if that's it, then by removing it u'll disturb the aerodynamic flow

yea thats the things i meant. i knew it would mess with the aerodynamics, but how big a deal is that? it also kinda seems like it would get a little more air to the intake

not really, if you want more air to the intake, get rid of the strut tower covers and put vented one's in place of them on both sides, not only will fresher air get to the intake, but the engine bay will be cooler.

Their are wiring mods for get the fogs with the parking lights on a 91.

Which "3si method" did you try?

this (http://www.3si.org/forum/f11/easy-way-have-fog-lights-parking-lights-7645/) one

all that happened was the connection either sparked or the fogs and parking came on and stayed on

your intake sits right near the strut tower cover. by replacing the covers with vents you're getting a venturi effect which cold air from the outside displaces the hot air in the engine bay. you can make or i think purchase an airbox that allows you to put a cone filter in and leave an open area, by putting the vent on top of the intake you'll be getting fresh air from the outside. the box will just seperate the filter from the rest of the bay

idk if it's just thte 91 thing, but my fogs work with only the parking lights on, that's a 92TT

oh i dont have the stock intake. i have an FIPK. would this still help?

regarding the light problem, i think it is strictly a problem with the 91 from what i've read

Hum, it should. Given the problems you had with the other version I'm wondering if you have some other electrical issue.

Werent there some oddities with the 91's that made some of the snake eye mods not work? Am I thinking of something different?

if you turn the stalk slowly, there should be a position, somewhere in between parking and headlights, where the lights are on but not popped up. If you pull apart the stalk and dremel a new notch in that position, theres your snake-eyes, and you can still have the full functionality of headlights when you want it.

thats a totally sweet idea. then i'd have regular parking lights too. how do i get the thing apart? can you just pull the end thing off?

you might be able to just pull it apart, i'd have to look at my stealth, it's been so long since i've delt with the car i don't remember much. if it's just a twist up for the headlights and such, the end tip should be able to pop off, maybe with a screwdriver

just take a look at it carefully, if it doesn't look like it'd pop off don't do it.

i can get some diagrams of the column and accessories on it from school, but w/o an email i can't get them to you till nxt wkend
