Just replaced both axles, and they're clicking/rubbing

Hi guys and gals.
Here's the deal. I replaced both axles on my CRX DX and put it all back together according to the helms manual. Now I'm getting a clicking/rubbing noise when I am cranked all the way left or right. The car drives great high speed and low speed, as long as I'm not cranked all the way one direction or the other.
Is there anything I could have done during the install to cause this? I did have to use a bit of force to get one side into the transmission. I have heard remanufactured axles have a pretty high rate of being dead on arrival, but having both of them bad seems to be a bit of a coincidence.
Thanks for your help,
Thrill

Thanks for the suggestion dozer. Would a damaged ball joint mess with things only when turning sharply? I didn't do anything with the tie rods, so I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be it.
My suspension is stock. I haven't got the money to upgrade it yet.

check your motor mounts i think broken mounts could cause that problem, and what brand name are those reman's

I actually just replaced one of the motor mounts. The rest are in good shape. Unless I broke one of them while putting the axles in, they would have been making noise before. I guess it's possible that replacing the motor mount would change the geometry enough to cause problems, but I hope not.
The axles are from Autozone. I have heard bad things about their rate of DOA, but no one else had parts for my car.
It's looking like I'm going to have to pull everything apart again. Anyone think it's ok to drive on the axles for a week until I get the time to pull them?
Thanks for your help,
