Right off the heels of Farrah Fawcett's death, Michael Jackson has also died: http://www.tmz.com/2009/06/25/michael-jackson-dies-death-dead-cardiac-arrest/
For those that don't believe celebrities die in 3's this is some proof. First it was Ed McMahon a couple days ago, followed by Farrah today, and then Michael.

My wife suggests that there might be some kind of investigation here. MJ was training and getting into shape for an upcoming European concert tour/performance. Apparently, Lou Farrigno (sp) was his personal trainer.

Perhaps something went wrong. Middle - aged men keel over from cardiac arrest surprisingly often during strenuous exercise.

I expect to see a lot of morbid jokes about his passing elsewhere on the Web anytime now. That would be too bad. As an entertainer, he was immensely talented, astute, focused and hard-working; all of which are admirable characteristics.

Personally, I would rather remember the jokes about the living MJ... and here is one of my favorites:

Michael Jackson was caught on tape saying he was a virgin until he was the age of 32. I mean, is that really shocking? I mean, he was a black man guy 'til he was 35." --Jay Leno

I'm waiting to see jokes along the line of what it might look like if they open his coffin in a few years with all the plastic surgery and reconstruction. On one of our local news stations websites they broke the news an hour ago that he was rushed to the hospital not breathing. The website allows users to leave comments about the stories on the site, and someone posted that they didn't understand why Macaulay Culkin didn't perform mouth to mouth in an attempt to revive him.

That's because something else was already in there........

I don't know... today has some surreal characteristics. Today kind of reminds me of the day Elvis died back in August 1977. I still remember the day as if it was recent. I remember where I was when i heard the news. There are some similarities to today versus the day Elvis died. They were both major entertainment performers and their deaths were sudden and unexpected. I'm sure his fans will flock to his mansion for days and weeks to follow holding vigils in the same fashion as Elvis' fans did at Graceland. I'm sure today will be another day that in the future I can recall many of the details and where I was when I first heard the news.

I agree, on all points.

MJ was very important and very popular with many people, particularly in Europe and Japan, where his personal life was less of an issue. He will be missed, and will be mourned.

I wonder if he will be the subject of jokes on late night TV. They have often made fun of death and tragedy (just look at OJ), even though imo it would be in poor taste.

Now the rumor mills are really churning. Early reports just after MJ's death claimed Jeff Goldblum had also passed away today in New Zealand. He was reported to have fallen off a cliff while filming a movie with Harrison Ford. Even other reports had said that Ford was also a victim of the accident. Reports have since come in debunking those rumors.
I'll bet those who participate in "dead pools" are really going crazy now .

Well, I guess dead celebrities build ratings. I think the big news is that Jeff Goldblum still has a career.......

What about David Carradine? Four is the new three!

David Carridine? Four is the new three!

Good point, I almost forgot about that.
One of my fears is that MJ's death is going to overshadow that of Farrah Fawcett's. Her mourning period may end up being shorter than it would have MJ not have passed so soon after . I'm not insinuating that she will be short-changed , rather I hope she will not be soon forgotten. Both have had quite a career and both should be mourned in their own right and their accomplishments celebrated.

David Caradine hung in his own closet, that is stranger then fiction!

Did someone say jokes ?? My text inbox has been overflowing. :grinyes:

After further investigations, Micheal Jackson died from food poisoning. He'd been eating large quantities of 12 year old nuts.

When Farrah Fawcett got to heaven, God granted her 1 wish for being a good person. She wished for all the children in the world to be safe.... So God killed Micheal Jackson.

Due to the fact that Micheal Jackson was 99% plastic he's being recycled into Lego blocks so kids can play with him for a change.
This must be due to Cali's strictest recycling program. lol

ps- he was a good musician, and surly will be missed, but not by me.

.
I heard he wanted to be cremated and his ashes spread in the sandbox, so little kids could play with him

Now watch, sometime in the near future there will be groups of people who claim that he really didn't die and it was all staged similar to the clams you hear about Elvis still being alive. With him being heavily in debt at the time of his death it would be a way to start fresh.

I hadnt heard those two jokes. lol

I was thinking about him faking his death. But where in the world could he go and not be recognized, everyone knows MJ. Even those pigmei's in Africa.

I am certain he was addicted to pain killers. If not from his multiple plastic surgeries, from 40+ years of dancing the way he did, surly caused some joint damage/pain. Pain killers are hard on our organs, though he could have OD'd on them.. Guess we'll hear about that when the toxicology report comes out.

Just saw VH1 classics is running MJ videos today. He sure had a lot of top hits in the 80's.

C'mon JC we're talkin' MJ here  with all that plastic surgery, what's a little more to totally change his appearance? I have a pic on my other computer of him getting ready for a show in his dressing room. Laid out before him is a host of noses and other facial parts ( like Mr. Potato head). In the pic he's trying to decide which ones to wear for that day's show. (Also in the pic he has no nose on his face, hence him trying to decide on one.)

I saw on a news report yesterday, one of his doctors or friends said the addiction to painkillers started in the mid '80s right after he caught fire filming that commercial for Pepsi. He started taking them for the pain as a result of the burns and then started increasing the dosage as the pain never went away. I guess from there it just snowballed.

David Carradine , Ed McMahon , Farrah Fawcett , and Michael Jackson . They say celebrity deaths always come in cycles of three ? We now have four , is there two more to come ? Or is the cycle changing ? If not , who are the next two ? Perhaps Patrick Swayze and someone totally unexpected ?

That would be funny to see. ;) ;)
He had the same nose as his sister, kinda creepy and alien looking.

My thoughts to a T....I won't miss him at all. Growing up I liked a few of his songs, but as I grew up and realised what he had become, I have no pitty for him. RIP my arse. May he burn for years to come. :banghead:
