Anybody of heard of this company? They say there out of las vegas. A guy called me from there after seeing my car 4 sell on ebay and said they are a company that helps you sell your car or truck by posting an add nationwide.

Thing is he wanted $199.99 down to start it. What shoud I do? I have looked them up on google and there is a company in Las Vegas named that, just a different number then what he called me from.

Thats a business which basically takes your car puts in on their lot. Tries to sell it for more than your asking price and they keep any difference and the 199. You get whatever they agreed to pay if they sell it. Honestly its risky and its stupid sell it yourself. This day and age you can reach more people online rather than having it sit on a lot as far as advertising is concerned

I wouldn't trust it... Getting a third party hand involved in the sale could screw you over in the end...

Wouldn't you consider an eBay auction a nationwide ad? I would think more people search eBay for cars than national classified ads. An eBay auction listing is a good way to showcase your car. besides there are safeguards in place along the way protecting you during a transaction, especially if you use PayPal.

I've never sold a vehicle on eBay but I would think it would be cheaper than $199 for an auction listing for the same if not more exposure.
These type of companies probably scout out eBay listings and try to solicit the owners into going with them to sell your car. FWIW, there are less expensive alternatives out there and a little work on your part looking for free ad space by researching on the web what is available could reap bigger benefits.

Selling a vehicle on ebay costs about 10 bucks for the auction. There's a small percentage of the final sale price too if it sells... It's low though. I wanna say like 2% or something like that I think...

Just be careful with both eBay, and especially Craigslist as they are both ripe with fraudulent individuals looking to make money off of you. Be especially wary of those out of the country, wanting to give you a check for more than the purchase price and then wanting you to refund part, or use a wire service or other means of payment transfer other than what you are comfortable with. Practically any means you use to sell something puts you at risk for fraudulent activity. You just have to be aware and stay on top of things and be one step ahead of the scammers.
