can i put in any 4t65e transmisson?

i have a 2001 pontiac montana and the trans went catastrophic can i take any 4t65e transmission outa lets say a grand prix or a buick will it fit does it have to be from a 3400 or can it be from a 3800 would it mate up and does year matter? ive hurd some years have different bin codes in the computer for diff years is that also true?:banghead:
