I am having an interesting problem with my 2001 acura. First of i am on Tranny #4. Not as bad as it sounds since acura was very good about helping me out. But i fear it might be #5 time. When i jack the front wheels up and put it in neutral. The driver side tire starts to spin like its in drive and there is a nasty rubbing sound like the tire is rubbing against something but it is completely clear. Anyone have any ideas. Is the tranny on the way out or maybe just the linkage. the car seems to drive just fine just with that sound getting faster as I drive.

One tire will always spin while a Honda/Acura is in the air and in neutral. Check the metal backing plates on the front brakes to make sure they are not rubbing or even the brake pads aren't on the wear sensor.
Isn't that a bitch 4 transmissions and they still haven't gotten it right. I'm debating whether or not to buy a 2001 CL type S for a steal. Trans is good now but I don't really replacing it, even though I can do it myself.
