My 98 GP is due for a PCV Valve change. Should I stick with a GM part or will an aftermarket one suffice?

I prefer Delco, but any quality aftermarket should be fine. Just don't forget to swap the black o-ring from the old to the new, or you'll get a vacuum leak that will cause strange DTC's to pop up as well as an annoying whistle/squealing noise.

There's not a whole lot to a PCV valve. I've gone through three aftermarket PCV's (through routine maintenance changes) and have never had a prob.

If this GP has a N/A Series II 3800 engine alot can go wrong especially when the o-rings are left off the MAP sensor or PCV. Also since the MAP sensor is mounted over the PCV on the UIM plenum the MAP sensor retainer forks can break off or the MAP sensor accordian seal gets damaged.
