I have a 2001 mazda 626 and the alarm goes off for no reason...any ideas?

If it's aftermarket, it's probably hypersensitive in terms of the setting it's on. Had a Cherokee that would go off if I leaned on it. There should be a little box somewhere on the car (most likely under the dash around the fuse box) where you can turn a dial down or up. Turning it down should prevent it from going off.
If it's not aftermarket, refer to the owners manual for adjustment, if there is a place. If not, look online to see if you can set the sensitivity.

thanks, I'll take a look and see if there is a setting adjustment. The alarm is factory standard.
