The 88 blew a radiator drain plug in the parking lot the other day. Anyone know what the prob could be? or how to fix it fast?

Most likely it was cross threaded the last time it was put in. A new plug should hold and not give you any more problems. A new radiator cap should keep the pressure from building up and doing it again.

ok cool, thanks. I've also got a coolant leak, it looks like it's coming from the head cover. Is that possible? I don't know much about cooling systems. I don't really have cash floating around so i'm trying to fix it myself. Any ideas or possible fixes?

If anti freeze is coming out by the valve cover you could have a leaking intake gasket of cracked intake. Clean it and use a flashlight and determine what is leaking.
