will a 1997-1999 front bumper cover fit a 1996 eclipse?

I have heard that it will but i will need to have 1997-1999 head lights for the spacing issue or something ?

can anyone gimme any more info?


You see I have a 1997-1999 poly urethane blitz bumper cover... and well I just feel like I am in high school... I want it to look clean and nice and kinda stock ahhaha I dont know why...

I just dont want to ride around in a blitzed out eclipse from high school anymore 4 years into college....

Here is the model breakdown...

95+ Talons have longer corners on the insides
95 and 96 Eclipses have longer corners on the insides
97+ Eclipses have narrower inside corners

Here is the visual breakdown on my Talon...

Longer inside corners

Narrower inside corners

As long as you have the narrower inside corners then you can pretty much put any bumper on it, but you will have a slight gap between the headlights and bumper as you can see in my second picture.

If you have the longer inside corners then you'll need to swap out the headlights with different ones to fit the 97-99 Eclipse bumper.
