Groomsmen Gifts

T-minus 17 days till I tie the knot back in NY. I have had a 2 year engagement which has been the perfect amount of time to get my self ready, although I am stressing about the groomsmen gifts. I have yet to purchase them and have no ideas. The party would consist of my brother and 4 best friends. I do not want the typical flask, watch or wallet gifts since I consider those to be the easy way out. My brother is 16 and my friends are 30-32. I am just curious if anyone had some suggestions. Oh and the wedding favors are bottles of wine with a personal labels so liquor for the groomsmen might be overkill. Thanks for any help guys I hope to get these gifts out of the way this weekend.

Buddy gave us zippos with our names engraved on them when I was his bestman many years ago. He divorced that woman but I think I still have the zippo. And I don't even smoke anymore... :lol:

When I was the best man at my brother's wedding he gave all the groomsmen a cooler with a 12 pack of Corona Extra in it. Pretty handy considering even after the beer is gone, you still get a cooler out of it which most everyone can use.

My brother gave bayonets, engraved with their names, to his groomsmen, and it was a big hit.

Knifes and beer, I have been going to the wrong weddings my whole life. Samurai swords would be so cool.

I was in my brother's wedding and he gave me a Zippo with my name engraved in Old English. It looks bad a$$. I don't use it anymore since I quit smoking about a month ago, but it is on display in it's original brushed aluminum case.

I agree BrodyP, I have been in the wrong weddings to. I think I have an idea for my up-coming wedding though. Knifes and beer... :iceslolan
