I have a 99 Lumina with the standard climate control. Can it be switched to a dual zone set up by changing the control panel to a dual zone model or not? I'm guessing not. But let me know anyway.

Bronxy , I'm not sure if the system can be changed over that easily ? I'm just guessing here but I suspect there will be many differences in the wiring between the two systems . On the manual system , you adjust the heat/ac manually to get the desired results . On the CC system , that is done automatically for you . You mentioned dual zone compared to standard , so I'm guessing you mean " Automatic Climate Control " but perhaps not ? If not , I'm way off base on what I've said up till now . Regardless , it's not likely simply changing the control panels will achieve the desired results ? As I said earlier " I'm just guessing here " ! I could be wrong ! Good luck and keep us updated !

Why? The interior is about 5 feet wide. How much difference can there be once the air starts mixing in the passenger compartment?
To me, this is just another of those "amenities" which puts cars in the repair shop more often and for no good (useful) reason.
Message left in my voice mail: "I Can't make it to work today. My car ate a CD and won't kick it out. I have to take it in to get fixed."
Message back: If you can't drive to work without listening to a CD, we might need someone in your position who has a little better focus and perspective. Don't bother coming in tomorrow, either. Or the next day. We'll call you when we need you.
