RSX vs. GTI

Hey guys, i need some few tips. Do yall think I can beat a VW GTI 1.8T with my Automatic w/ triptronic RSX. His GTI is brand new, (mine has 2000 miles on it) and he's is manual. The only problem is that he just learned manual. He's not really good at it but he still in the process of learning. He got his yesterday. Do yall think it will be close race? You think i have a chance of winning. Can any one gimme some few pointers on racing on triptronic...

i hate to say it, but he'll probably walk you. the 1.8ts are quick quick cars even for a type s.

GTI buddy...those are low 15's, high 14's. unless he kills it off the line or something of the sort...ur gonna have ur hands full. the auto doesn't help any other...sorri to break it to u...

And which do you think is faster the RSX-S or GTi VR6? I mean who do you think would win if it were a race on the quarter mile. Because I've been thinking of getting a GTi VR6. And ever since I heard about the RSX-S I was thinking about going w/that and going into the import scene instead because I've been into the European scene for too long.
So pleaz give me some feedback.

well, thats a pretty good race, but i'ma go w/the type s in this one, from personal experience, there are alot of gti's around northern va and i've never had a problem beating them. the 1.8t's give me a better run for my money then the vr6's do.

Well my brother got spanked by a GTi in a slushbox "sportshift" (are you kidding me) RSX. And just to let you know evo2885 BOTH are imports!

haha...picky picky...but still gti>rsx (non-type s) but the gti would still have the edge even on the type s...would all come to drive tho.

I "DIDN'T" mean to say it like this "of course the GTI is faster then the RSX-S!!!". I meant to say thanx for giving your "honest" opinion about who would win. And in my opinion, just for all of you to know, I think that RSX-S could beat the GTI 1.8T...
