weird u joints

I pulled my driveshafts off and noticed that one of the u joints is bad. I bought a replacement and went to change it and I can't for the life of me get it apart. From what I read it should be rather simple. I tried hitting it with a huge hammer while using some sockets and that didn't work, and then I tried using a ball joint tool which fit well but it just wont budge. I noticed mine doesn't have any clips on the end of the joint and that it looks like it has pins through the side of the driveshaft where the u joint goes through. Before I go use the press at work, I want to make sure that I don't ruin my drive shaft.

with a small propane torch you heat each ear until the plastic starts to ooz out after the two ears are done and its still hot carefully drive out ,,,with out bending the yoke...this is how the oem U joints are removed once this is done this is not required.. with the aftermarket type...
lube the new joints before install and lube the end ..don't whack the seals.
