I pulled my tranny this weekend and am having someone rebuild it. How much tranny fluid will I need when I refill it? Also, how should I flush out the tranny cooler? I'm not too worried about stuff in the lines, the fluid from the pan was clean and had no debris or particles in it. I'd still prefer to make sure though.

soap/water flush....then blow air thru it.....best to blow nitrogen gas thru it.....
on a rebuild its about 11qts.....the pan if its the deep pan, will take 5qts....with just the pan/filter maintenance..
make sure the tranny has the correct filter....some filters are not oem design these should not be used....I got the correct deep pan filter at NAPA,,,the filter has the same plastic stamping on it..this sucks the fluid 1 inch off the pan bottom,,,not at the pan bottom where the goop is..
