1997 passat radio problem

I am trying to hook up a radio in the car. Actually it might not work lol. but i am trying to get the right wires for power and ground and the remote wire. if someone would kindly tell me what color wire is what or maybe a website that would contain this info.. also i am have troubling with passenger window it may be off track but i tried to take the door panel off and it seems there is a screw somewhere by the handle or does it just pop off?? i didnt want to rip it right off thinking i may break something..greatly appreciated with some advice to hese problems....oh and also is there a button to pop the gas tank cover?? I kinda just ripped it open couldnt find the button to get it openj as i was in the gas station trying to locate it....and yes i just got the car lol :) again thanks for the help....

http://www.the12volt.com/ for your stereo wires, you will need a special antenna adapter because, the remote for your amplified antenna runs through the antenna cable. Buy a VW-Aftermarket wire harness at your local stereo shop so you don't have to cut the wires.
