96 S10, ignition switch, again??

Last summer I finally switched out the switch since it wouldn't crank with the switch. I ran a make do starter button for close to a year without issues, then last year installed a new switch. The truck was fine for a year but now what is happening is I shut the Blazer down and the radio and the wipers continued to play/run. I turned the wipers off, the tunes and so far it starts each day so I'm not drawing down the battery. So my question, is it the switch again or is there a relay somewhere that is stuck? Get a volt meter and see if ign switch is turning off acc power and ing. power in off position.

If ign switch is on upper part steering column shaft it may need a little adjustment.

OK, Yes the acc power is 12v with the key off and out. But no Ignition power. But if I turn the key a bit clockwise with the key in (but not able to remove it) I can kill both Acc and Ign. So how does one make that adjustment? TIA

Is the ing switch electrical part mounted on top of steering shaft with a slide adjustment?

If so try a little adjustment on it.

I kept the bad switch that wouldn't allow me to crank the engine and it looks like just two un-slotted holes that hold it on. So I don't know how you could adjust it? I'm disabled and that switch replacement was a pain for me. Now since I kept that old switch and harness I may?? just do away with the whole electrical part of the ignition switch. I would use the extra plug from the old switch and put in a bank of toggles and I still have my temporary push button that I used for cranking. All the key would do is lock the steering wheel and I might even delete that also. And yes I'm crazy but if these switches are such a bad design I'm sure my approch will be an upgrade.
