Good brake upgrade?
GTP Version 2.0

I wanted to upgrade my front brakes but I'm not sure on which ones. I like the F-Body dual aluminum piston brake kit from ZZP but I was looking for a cheaper option because after shipping, rotors, and pads, the upgrade is over $400. I wanted to know what year F-body brakes they are and part numbers. I thought since GM is going under maybe my local GM/Pontiac dealership will be willing to haggle and maybe I can get them for a cheaper price than ZZP since they are the same. What's your guy's input?

If your GTP is a 97-03 model, you could buy the caliper mounting brackets and rotors from a 00-newer Monte Carlo/Impala/Bonneville. The pads and calipers are the same, but these cars came with 12" diameter rotors vs the Grand Prix's 11". The brackets are needed to allow clearance for the larger diameter rotors.

And if I wanted to change my calipers to dual piston ones what make/model/year would they be?

Regretfully, no GM W-body came with dual piston front calipers, so there is no easy swap on that one. You'd have to go aftermarket to get dual piston calipers.

Are you sure Rich? I could have swore my 01 lumina had dual piston front brakes. Maybe I'm worng though.
