Latest Addition to My Evo Collection : WRC Evo 5

Finally I finished it.. This is my 3rd rally car after the Evo VI and the Proton PERT. This is quite tough to build and lots of painting required. I weathered it ( I am addicted to dirty rally cars ) and I find it lovely.. There are flaws though during decaling and I touched up a little... The only thing I didn't apply is the seats rear CF decal. Rest it is OOB.. Lovely kit from Tamiya

it looks great! particularly in decal application. a thing that bothers me is the weathering. isn't the rally car supposed to be dust & mud dirt look-a-like weathering rather than oil (black) dirt? well i'm not into rally car, so pardon me if i'm mistaken. nonetheless, it's up to ur preference :) cheers.

Good looking model Cham! I think the weathering is ok. Even on tarmac rallys the cars can get really dirty (Monte Carlo Rally) and the dirt is quite dark. Maybe giving it a little "dirt spray" with your airbrush would make it look more realistic. Also good wheatering on the undercarriage, but i think the protection shield on the front is missing.

on second looks, yeah it seems the weathering is a bit too dark. i will keep this model like this for future reference. thanks :)

yeap, the protection shield for the engine and rear suspensions are missing. because i took quite sometime to paint all the paints on the chassis and covering it doesn't give justice... :)
